Kudos to Ed sherwood, others for successful 16th annual LDF/LMA Symposium

To the editor:

In the past, I have abstained from contacting your newspaper in order to document my thoughts via letter or e-mail, regardless of the subject matter or issue involved.

Today, however, I fell compelled to publicity reiterate my sincere feeling of appreciation to Ed Sherwood of Logistics and Manufacturing Association (LMA) not only for having spearheaded last week's LDF/LMA Annual Symposium for the 16th consecutive time, but for having reached a new milestone in the process as well.  This year, the presence of and participation by Canadian, Mexican, Texas and out-of-state delegations significantly widened the scope of our conference, consolidated its importance and served to generate impressive results that will undoubtedly inure in benefits to our community.

I would certainly be remiss if I did not acknowledge the outstanding support LMA received from its members and staff, as well as from Roger Creery, Joseph Mendiola, Tim Franciscus-Timm and Yvette Medina of Laredo Development Foundation (LDF) and Millie Slaughter, the Laredo Community College staff and Texas A&M International University and its staff.

Signed,

Javier Garza

President, Logistics and Manufacturing Association
