The Laredo Community College & The Light Manufacturing Institute is cordially inviting you to our workshop for the Texas Workforce Commission’s Skill Development Fund, it's free and open to the general public.
This fund (SDF) is one more reason why Texas is a great place to do business. Customized training through state-funded Skills grants ensure that your current workforce stays up-to-date to keep your business competitive and new workers are trained with the skills your industry requires. Skills successfully merges business needs and local training opportunities into a winning formula to increase the skills levels and wages of Texas workforce. Since 1996, Skills grants have helped 3,263 employers create 76,191 jobs and upgrade the skills of 208,630 workers.
