2008 LMA Scholarship Program

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
2008-2009 ACADEMIC YEAR
The Logistics and Manufacturers Association (formerly known as the Laredo Manufacturers Association or LMA) is making available scholarships to worthy students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll at Texas universities or colleges.
The Logistics and Manufacturers Association scholarships are for the amount of $1,000 to be applied to the tuition, fees, and other direct expenses of attending the chosen college or university. The recipients of the scholarship shall, declare and pursue a degree plan for engineering, manufacturing or business related degree.
All tuition and fees will be paid directly to the college or university attended through their Financial Aid or Scholarship office. The scholarship recipient will receive the balance of the scholarship directly to cover necessary direct school expenses. This scholarship shall be for the entire 2007-2008 academic year, (i.e. Fall 2007 through Summer of 2008) and shall be paid at the beginning of the academic year.
· Applicants must be planning to attend a Texas College or University.
· Applicants must be a resident of the Laredo area.
· Applicants must have an acceptable college record or 3.0 (B) grade point average for graduating high school applicants (verified by counselor)
An official transcript of all previous scholastic work must be received prior to the deadline for applications.

˜ Recipients must be full-time students (twelve credit hours per semester minimum).
˜ Applicants who are children of LMA members are not eligible.
